Dear Friends, relatives and Well-wishers,
Please support our Executive Director, Mr. Dhan Bahadur Lama (DB) to keep up his good work towards rehabilitating and repatriating of a trafficked children to their family. Being a child away from home, DB’s mom was always worried about him while he was studying in Budhanilkantha School, Kathmandu. He still remembers her words stating how she spent sleepless night on memories of her child and how bad she missed him. These personal experiences have given DB a great motivation on helping these trafficked children to reunite with their family where a child gets a safe heaven being part of a family. Therefore, his visions and goals will result a good night sleep for parents who have been worried for his/her kids ever since they left their home and adds peace and happiness in the life of trafficked child and their families. Furthermore, please help him to educate poor child of Humla who does not have an opportunity to go to school or get a quality of education till this modern era. These kids struggle everyday for their survival in harsh mountains of Humla where lives are extremely hard and resources are rare. His actions and motivations shall provide these kids a pathway towards better future with intelligence in their head and a motivation to kiss the horizon in near future.

Dhan Bahadur (DB) Lama

Nepal
The good shepherd
Trafficking is a serious violation of human rights and the depths of the problem cuts across rural and urban areas and between regional, national and international boundaries In November 2006, news broke about the trafficking of 500 children at the mid-Western region in Nepal which prompted an immediate response from a number of organizations.
Dhan Bahadur (or DB as he is called) is the Executive Director of the Himalayan Innovative Society(THIS). The organization was set up to protect and promote the human rights of the people of Nepal, especially children, orphans, the disadvantaged and others affected by conflict. Since 2006, THIS has been working for child rights and reintegration of trafficked children into appropriate care institutions such as orphanages and childrens homes. So far THIS has reintegrated over 500 children back to their families and 95 percent of whom have resettled in their families and villages.
DB came from a family of shepherds in the Tibetan border area of Humla district. He invests his time and energy supporting and aiding the people of Humla, who are isolated from the rest of Nepal. As a result of poverty, geographical difficulty and conflict, some people from the region choose to live nomadic lives. But DB, upon finishing a degree from the prestigious school of Budanilkantha in Kathmandu, choose to return to the marginalized region of Humla to action his dreams of providing his people with sustainable peace and development.
